DESY Code of Conduct Supply Chain Act

Preface by the DESY Board of Directors DESY is committed to promoting fundamental research in the natural sciences. It achieves this in particular by developing, building and operation accelerators and using them for scientific purposes, conducting research using photons and in the fields of particle and astroparticle physics.
The research facilities we design and operate for this purpose are open to scientists from all over the world

We are aware that our actions are directly related to our responsibility for human beings and the environment.
This is why we have established standards that help us to ensure that our actions are always socially,
ecologically and ethically aligned. DESY´s Declaration of Principles on Human Rights and Environmental Risks
and this Code of Conduct together fulfil this purpose for all leaders and employees as they go about their
everyday work.
We, the DESY Board of Directors, are unreservedly committed to acting responsibly and in accordance
with the law, and we align our actions with social, ecological and ethical principles.
